専門 魚類育種学
魚類生理学
研究活動の紹介 魚類の成熟・産卵のしくみについて、ホルモンの働きを中心に研究してきました。特に、脳が作る最上位のホルモン(=生殖腺刺激ホルモン放出ホルモン)を専門としています。長年、養殖に関する研究を行う研究所に勤務していたので、マダイ、ウナギ、マグロ、ブリ、カンパチなどの成熟について調べました。ウナギの人工的な成熟促進の研究にも携わりました。数年前から魚介類の育種に関するプロジェクトにかかわっており、今後、養殖魚の育種を進めるための研究を行います。近年、急速に進歩したゲノム情報を利用した育種手法の実践を目指します。
