Research FieldPlant Ecophysiology, Weed Science, Seed Science
Research Summary

I am interested in understanding how annual plants regulate their life spans to adapt to changes of the seasons, particularly on the viewpoints of eco-physiological mechanisms for detecting proper timings of germination and flowering in winter annuals. For years our research group has been working on thermo-inhibition of seed germination in relation to abscisic acid. Most recently we have focussed on identification of genes of seed vernalisation using winter weeds, Conyza and Arabidopsis.
