Research Summary ・Analyzing EFL Classroom Interaction
I am engaged in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom interaction research in Japan. Based on video recordings of language lessons, I analyze verbal and multimodal interactions produced by teachers and young learners through applying conversation analysis. I am especially interested in how gestures and pedagogical activities are routinely organized and utilized as resources by participants.
Keywords Applied Linguistics, Foreign language education, English for Medical Purposes (EMP)
